World expresses condolences and support as Pakistan faces catastrophic floods

ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan deals with one of the deadliest monsoon disasters in recent history, messages of condolence and solidarity have flooded in from around the globe.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a heartfelt condolence letter to President Asif Ali Zardari, expressing deep sorrow for the loss of life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the floods. He conveyed his sympathy to the victims’ families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Similarly, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing profound condolences to the Pakistani government and people, emphasizing the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Pakistan during this tragic natural disaster. Saudi Arabia also extended support to the families of the victims and wished for the swift recovery of those affected.

Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru expressed his deep sorrow over the floods that have devastated northern Pakistan. In his condolence message, Prime Minister Ishiba conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and offered his prayers for the victims. He also wished for the quick recovery of the injured and expressed Japan’s solidarity with Pakistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye also expressed profound grief over the loss of life caused by the floods. The Turkish government offered condolences to Pakistan’s leadership and people, praying for mercy for the victims and extending support during this devastating time.

The global community’s collective support has provided a sense of solidarity to Pakistan as it faces the overwhelming aftermath of the flood disaster.
