DUBAI: India sealed a dramatic victory over Pakistan to win the Asia Cup 2025, chasing down a target of 147 with five wickets in hand and just two balls to spare.

Pakistan were bowled out for 146 in 19.1 overs after a promising start, thanks largely to a devastating spell from Kuldeep Yadav who claimed four wickets for 30.

Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each, helping India dismantle Pakistan’s middle and lower order.

In India’s chase, early wickets threatened to derail the mission—Abhishek Sharma fell for 5, Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed cheaply, and Shubman Gill departed for 12.

But a composed stand between Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube steadied the innings. Varma’s measured fifty proved pivotal as India kept their cool under pressure to cross the finish line.

This final marks the first time India and Pakistan have met in an Asia Cup decider.

Held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the match capped off a tense tournament packed with on-field drama and heated rivalry.
