The body of Aurangzeb Alam, a schoolteacher who along with his two small children jumped into the sea near ‘Do Darya’ on Thursday, was recovered from the sea near China Port on Saturday.

The tragic incident unfolded after Aurangzeb, who was embroiled in a court battle over child custody due to domestic disputes, took his children with him after leaving the court. In a moment of overwhelming despair, he made the heartbreaking decision to jump into the sea.

Sagheer Alam identified his brother, a resident of Orangi Town. According to Sagheer, his brother Aurangzeb was the father of three children, and his six-year-old child was living with the mother.

Following a court hearing on Thursday, Aurangzeb Alam, in a state of extreme distress, took his two children and jumped into the sea.

After the incident, an eyewitness reported the situation to the police, prompting a search and rescue operation by Edhi’s team.

During the search, his son Ahmad’s body was located near the Pakistan Monument at Sea View, while daughter Ayat’s body was found near the Sea View Clock Tower.
