Authorities on Sunday detained popular YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, at Lahore Airport after accusing him of promoting online gambling.
Officials confirmed that Rehman was stopped from leaving the country as his name had already been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). He was later produced before a local court, which granted the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) a two-day physical remand for further investigation.
According to the NCCIA, evidence recovered from Rehman’s mobile phone links him to illegal payments, suspicious WhatsApp contacts, and promotions for gambling apps, including Binomo. Investigators also allege he was involved in money laundering through such platforms.
The agency said an inquiry into his assets is underway and relevant records have been sought. Authorities claim the YouTuber was attempting to flee abroad at the time of his arrest.
Rehman, one of Pakistan’s most-followed content creators, has faced previous run-ins with law enforcement. In 2024, he and his wife, influencer Aroob Jatoi, were taken into custody in Lahore’s Model Town for displaying firearms online. Earlier this year, the Motorway Police also booked him in two separate cases for overspeeding and performing dangerous stunts.
Officials stated that further questioning will determine the extent of his alleged involvement in gambling-related financial crimes.
