A woman died after being burned in a gas leak explosion at a house in Baldia Town. Her husband and son were left injured, while her daughter survived.

The Thursday morning explosion, caused by a gas leak, left a husband, wife, and their son severely burned, while their daughter remained unharmed. The victims were shifted to the Civil Hospital’s Burns Ward. The woman, 35-year-old Hina, succumbed to extensive burns during treatment. Her injured husband and son were identified as 40-year-old Rizwan and 15-year-old Shoaib.

The daughter informed investigators that gas supply had gone out in the night, and her mother had forgotten to turn off the stove. When the supply resumed in the morning, the kitchen filled with gas which ignited when Hina attempted to light the stove.
