Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu supported the US President’s 20-point peace plan and said that we have accepted it, but if Hamas does not, we will end this war forever alone.
According to the international news agency, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the first step of the US plan to end the Gaza war will be a limited withdrawal and the release of all hostages within 72 hours.
He added that after this, an international organization will take responsibility for disarming Hamas and making Gaza a demilitarized zone. If this process is successful, the war will end forever.
However, the Israeli Prime Minister rejected a complete military withdrawal and also said that for now Israel will remain in the security zone.
He warned that if Hamas backs down after accepting the Gaza peace plan, Israel will end its war alone.
He added that this task can be done easily or in a difficult way, but it will be done in any case. We prefer the easy way, but the goal will be achieved at all costs.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has said that the Palestinian Authority (PA) cannot be given any role in the future government of Gaza until it makes fundamental and real changes within itself.
He added that most Israelis are not convinced that the Palestinian Authority will change its policy, but President Trump’s plan provides a realistic path under which the administration of Gaza will not be in the hands of Hamas or the Palestinian Authority, but will be given to those who want real peace with Israel.
The US 20-point peace plan states that Gaza will be run by an interim supervisory body until the Palestinian Authority completes a reform program. The plan completely rejects the role of Hamas, but it is possible that the PA will be able to become part of the governance of Gaza in the future after reforms, which could pave the way for the Palestinian people’s aspirations for statehood.
