After the water of all the rivers of Punjab joined Sindh, the water level in the river rose to a dangerous level, causing high flood tide at Guddu Barrage.

The inflow of water at Guddu Barrage was recorded at 612,269 cusecs and the outflow at 582,942 cusecs.

A warning was issued for low-lying areas, while the relevant agencies were put on high alert, and the public was instructed to move to safer places.

All areas of Kandhkot’s Kachha were submerged, while thousands of acres of standing crops were also submerged due to the flood.

The Pakistan Navy’s emergency response team is busy with relief activities in Kashmore, Ghotki, Sukkur and Shikarpur. The emergency response teams are equipped with hovercraft, rescue boats and expert diving teams.
