Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu has been fined for speeding.
According to media reports, Abdulkadir Uraloglu posted a video of himself on social media in which he was shown driving at a very high speed of about 225 kilometers per hour on the highway.
The video was shared with the hashtag #TurkiyeAccelerates, which was said to be aimed at examining the conditions of the Ankara-Neighborhood Motorway.
Later, the traffic police fined him 9,267 Turkish liras for violating this speed limit. Uraloglu later shared a photo of the fine on social media and said that I have pointed out my nation myself. I will be more careful in the future.
Interestingly, the Turkish minister shared a video of himself driving at almost double the speed limit. The Turkish minister himself admitted that he expressed his violation through the video and also apologized to the public.
The incident sparked a wave of criticism and ridicule on social media, especially because a minister responsible for traffic himself opposed speeding and committed it himself.
