ANKARA: Turkey has announced a complete suspension of trade relations with Israel, banning commercial ships from entering Israeli ports and closing airspace to Israeli aircraft.
According to Turkish media, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking at an extraordinary session of parliament, said that all trade relations with Israel have been terminated and Turkish ships will not be allowed to enter Israeli ports.
He said that Israeli aircraft will not be allowed to use Turkish airspace.
The Foreign Minister said that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza and this is the darkest chapter in human history.
He said that Israel has been committing the crime of genocide in Gaza for the past two years in front of the world’s eyes, while abandoning basic human values.
Hakan Fidan said that the Palestinian resistance against Israel will change the course of history and this resistance has become an example for the oppressed and has shaken the foundations of a declining system.
The Turkish Foreign Minister has categorically rejected the proposal to expel Palestinians from Gaza and stressed that whoever proposed this plan does not accept it.
