Thousands of people in Karachi and other major cities and towns of Sindh came out on the roads to denounce the Israeli attack on aid ships heading to Gaza.
On the appeal of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a nationwide protest day was observed on Friday against the Israeli attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla. Similar rallies were held in almost every major town of Sindh.
In this context, over 100 protests and rallies were held across various districts and towns of Karachi, in which people from all walks of life — especially youth — participated in large numbers and expressed their deep solidarity with the Palestinian people. JI staged rallies in every major town of Sindh.
JI Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar said, “The purpose of gathering millions of people at the Gaza Solidarity March is to send a clear message to the world that we stand with the oppressed Palestinians.”
The JI leader expressed these views while speaking to media representatives at the inauguration of a camp set up at Fresco Chowk, Burns Road, in connection with the march to be held on October 5 on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Act of terrorism
Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Karachi Division organized a large protest outside Markaz-e-Ahle Sunnat, Masjid Siddiq-e-Akbar in Nagan Chowrangi, condemning the Israeli assault on the Global Sumud Flotilla. A significant number of scholars, activists, and citizens participated, holding placards and banners denouncing Israeli brutality.
Speakers, including ASWJ Pakistan President Allama Aurangzeb Farooqi and Karachi leader Maulana Rab Nawaz Hanfi, declared the attack an act of terrorism and a war against humanity. They criticized global powers and human rights organizations for their silence, calling it a reflection of double standards.
The protestors urged Muslim leaders to wake from their slumber and adopt a united strategy to defend the oppressed in Gaza. The gathering echoed strong calls for justice and demanded immediate international action against Israel’s aggression and support for Palestinian rights.
Israel stands exposed
Central Muslim League Karachi organized a protest outside Karachi Press Club against the Israeli attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla. Demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of Palestine and against Israel. They said that the attack on the aid shipment exposed the true and ugly face of Israel.
Speakers, including Sindh President Faisal Nadeem and Karachi President Nadeem Awan, condemned Israel’s history of violence against Palestinians and rejected the two-state solution, asserting that Palestine is a single sovereign state.
The flotilla’s mission, they said, successfully exposed Israel’s oppressive tactics to the world. Protesters declared that the Greater Israel plan is a threat to global peace and a conspiracy to dominate Muslim nations.
Crime against humanity
Pakistan Sunni Tehreek strongly condemned the Israeli assault on the Global Sumud Flotilla and the arrest of its humanitarian volunteers as a crime against humanity. Chairman Engr. Sarwat Ejaz Qadri praised the courage of over 500 participants from 44 countries who risked their lives to deliver aid to Gaza, calling the attack a crime against humanity.
Central President Sahibzada Allama Bilal Abbas Qadri denounced the Trump peace plan as a violation of Palestinian rights and urged global institutions — including the UN, OIC, and human rights organizations — to take immediate action against Israel’s aggression.
He emphasized that the international community must stand with the oppressed people of Gaza. The movement declared that millions of conscientious individuals worldwide are protesting Israeli brutality and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Palestine’s struggle for justice and freedom.
MWMP rejects Trump plan
Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan Karachi President Allama Sadiq Jafferi strongly rejected the Trump peace plan, calling it a betrayal of Palestinian rights and a threat to Gaza’s sovereignty.
Speaking at a protest outside Masjid Haider-e-Karar in Orangi Town, he emphasized that Pakistan belongs to Quaid-e-Azam, not Trump.
Protesters condemned the plan as a strategic attempt to isolate Gaza politically, economically, and socially, violating international laws and human rights.
Leaders also denounced the Israeli attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla and the arrest of over 150 aid workers, including Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan. They called the assault a blatant violation of humanitarian norms and demanded the immediate release of all detainees.
Protests in Sindh
Lower Sindh witnessed widespread protests on Friday across district and tehsil headquarters, condemning Israeli aggression and demanding the release of Global Sumud Flotilla members, including former Pakistani Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan. Demonstrators expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza and denounced Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid.
In Sujawal, rallies led by religious groups such as the Sunni Rabita Council and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam drew large crowds. Protesters chanted anti-Israel slogans and burned effigies of Israeli leaders. Similar demonstrations took place in Sanghar, Badin, Tando Adam, Matli, Sakrand, and Jhudo, organized by Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Central Muslim League, and student organizations.
Speakers condemned Israel as a terrorist state and accused it of violating international laws by detaining aid workers and attacking peaceful convoys. Protesters rejected any peace plan excluding Hamas and called for recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state.
Protests erupt across K-P in solidarity with Palestinians
On the call of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-F) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), protest rallies were staged across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. Demonstrations were held in all districts of the province, in line with countrywide protests announced by both parties.
According to reports, large gatherings took place in Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, Palas, Malakand, Swat, Lower and Upper Dir, Chitral, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and the merged tribal districts.
The rallies, organized under the banner of JUI-F and JI, were led by provincial and district leaders, lawmakers, and prominent scholars. During their speeches, leaders condemned the Israeli attack on the humanitarian flotilla and voiced concern over the arrest of Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and other political figures. They urged Muslim leaders worldwide to play an active role in halting Israeli aggression.
Speakers also demanded that Pakistan’s embassies use their diplomatic influence to secure the release of Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan. They stressed that Israeli forces continue to commit brutalities in Palestine and Gaza, attempting to suppress the voices of the oppressed through violence.
However, they added, the Palestinian people remain steadfast and continue their struggle for the liberation of Al-Quds despite immense sacrifices.
The JUI-F leadership emphasized that their party has consistently raised its voice for Palestine, both inside and outside Parliament, and will continue to extend every possible support.
Rejecting Trump’s so-called “Middle East peace plan,” they warned that any deviation by the Pakistani government from the principles laid down by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah would face strong resistance from JUI-F.
They concluded by asserting that a just solution to the Palestine issue must reflect the will of its people, rather than being imposed through foreign formulas.
