Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the world does not accept the false narrative of countries that use terrorism for political purposes. There is evidence of external involvement in the terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and those responsible and facilitators of these crimes must be held accountable.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the 25th Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), said that it is a matter of pride for me to be present in Tianjin.

He said that Tianjin represents China’s core values and plays the role of a bridge between civilizations and cultures. We have gathered here to renew this spirit that China has put into practice.

The Prime Minister thanked President Xi Jinping and the Chinese government for the excellent arrangements and said that the SCO reflects Pakistan’s long-standing commitment.

He said that China’s global leadership is visible not only in the SCO but in all its prominent initiatives. The presence of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko added further importance to the meeting.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan has always believed in the power of multilateralism, dialogue and diplomacy. Nothing is more important than the sovereignty and territorial integrity of any country, and a country that does not respect these “red lines” is a threat to peace and the global order.

He said that Pakistan faced an unjustified external aggression this year by a country that has been consistently violating the sovereignty of its neighbors. This attack was carried out without any evidence on a false pretext, which took the lives of innocent civilians, women and children and brought the entire region to the brink of nuclear war.

The Prime Minister strongly condemned the weaponization of water, saying that it is the lifeline of the Pakistani people.

He said that Pakistan has always adhered to the charters of the United Nations and the SCO and will continue to do so.

Shahbaz Sharif termed Israel’s unjustified aggression against Iran as condemnable and unacceptable and said that the conflict was deliberately provoked at a time when Iran was close to peace talks.

He said that the ongoing atrocities and hunger in Gaza are an unending wound on our collective conscience, and hunger and deprivation are an affront to the universal principles of human rights and justice.

He reiterated the demand for an immediate end to this atrocities and bloodshed and said that Pakistan has always supported the two-state solution.

The Prime Minister said that any attempt to unilaterally change the status of the disputed territories must be condemned. Terrorism, separatism and extremism are serious threats to the entire region, and Pakistan condemns all forms of terrorism.

He said that the world does not accept the false narratives of countries that use terrorism for political purposes. There is evidence of external involvement in the terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and those responsible and facilitators of these crimes must be held accountable.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has sacrificed 90,000 lives in the war on terrorism and suggested that the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure adopt an effective strategy to deal with this issue.
