Islamabad: The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kylychbek Sultan, at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Islamabad.
Ambassador Kylychbek Sultan warmly welcomed the Sri Lankan envoy. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed that Kyrgyzstan and Sri Lanka enjoy cordial bilateral ties and cooperate closely at regional and international forums.
Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in diverse fields including sports, environment, science and education, cultural exchange, health, tourism, agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and investment.
High Commissioner Senevirathne expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Ambassador and acknowledged the long-standing collaboration between the two countries. He highlighted the vision of Sri Lanka’s current political leadership, stressing its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and malpractices, and reaffirmed Colombo’s commitment to good governance and creating a favorable environment for foreign investment.
A Christy Ruban, Minister at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad, was also present at the meeting.
