Security forces killed seven terrorists, including three Afghan nationals and two suicide bombers, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district on September 20.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation targeted fighters from the Indian-linked group Fitna al Khwarij. Troops “effectively engaged the location,” it said, adding that a sanitisation sweep was underway to clear any remaining militants.
Islamabad called on Afghanistan’s interim government to prevent the use of its territory for attacks against Pakistan, saying the military remained determined to eliminate what it described as Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their successful operation against Indian-backed terrorists in Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan.
The minister commended the forces’ professional skills in eliminating seven “Khwarij,” saying the security personnel had once again foiled the nefarious designs of the militants in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
“I salute the security forces for bringing seven Khwarij to a grim end,” Naqvi said, adding that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its forces and values their achievements.
“The Khwarij will find no place to hide,” he warned.

Earlier, four terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al Hindustan were killed by security forces during an IBO in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on September 17 following reports of the terrorists’ presence in the area.
During an intense exchange of fire, security forces successfully engaged the hideout, killing the militants on the spot.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from their possession. ISPR stated that the killed terrorists were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
A day earlier, security forces had eliminated five terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al Hindustan during another operation in Khuzdar district.
The Khuzdar operation follows a series of major counter-terrorism actions across the country in recent days.
Before this, security forces eliminated 31 terrorists associated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij network in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Those operations came on the heels of a wider campaign in which 45 militants were killed and 19 soldiers martyred in Bajaur, South Waziristan, and Lower Dir.
These successive operations underscore Pakistan’s intensified campaign against militant groups, with the ISPR repeatedly highlighting the role of Indian proxies and the involvement of Afghan soil in recent attacks.
