KARACHI: A delegation of the Pakistan Writers and Thinkers Forum, accompanied by Chairman Dr. Rashid Jamal, met with Consul General in Karachi Dr. Camal Sango. Shamshad Siddiqui, Tahir Hassan Khan, Zeeshan Ahmed Siddiqui and Fida Hussain Soomro were also present on the occasion. Consul General in Karach Dr. Camal Sangu said that the relationship between Turkiye and Pakistan is deeper than the sea, Higher than K2 mountain, and sweeter than mangoes, says a Press release.
The relationship between Turkiye and Pakistan is exemplary, eternal and indelible. This relationship is not a few years old. Rather, the roots of the relations between Pakistan and Turkiye date back to the time when the Muslims of the subcontinent stood by Turkiye during the Khilafat Movement in support of the Ottoman Caliphate.
This relationship is like one body and two hearts that beat for each other. The relations between Turkiye and Pakistan are extremely deep and strong on historical, cultural and religious grounds. He said that this city and its people have given me a lot of love and affection. This love will always remain in my heart.
Rashid Jamal said that Pakistan is proud of its long-standing, tested and strong brotherly relations with Turkiye and that the relations between the two countries are becoming stronger with every new challenge. We wish that the relations between Pakistan and Turkiye become stronger. He said that the services of Consulate General Jamal Sango cannot be forgotten. He has played an invaluable role in strengthening and consolidating the brotherly relations between the two countries.
Consul General Dr. Camal Sangu was presented with a commemorative shield by the Pakistan Writers and Thinkers Forum for serving as a consulate for four years and obtaining a PhD degree from a local university in Karachi.
