Singer Quratul Ain Baloch was injured in a bear attack near Bara Pani in Deosai National Park on Thursday, according to the Gilgit-Baltistan government.
She was rescued and taken to Skardu Hospital, where doctors treated injuries to both her arms caused by the animal’s teeth and claws. Hospital officials confirmed there were no fractures, and she was discharged after her condition stabilized.
GB government spokesperson Faizullah Faraq said the incident occurred during Baloch’s visit to the park, a high-altitude reserve known for its wildlife. In response, authorities have imposed a ban on night camping in Deosai to ensure tourist safety.
“No traveler or tourist will be allowed to camp overnight,” Faraq said.
