ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that from now on, instead of attending the National Assembly session, we will boycott it by protesting.

While talking to the media along with other members of parliament, he said that today, the meeting of the parliamentary party of the PTI was held at KP House. The orders of the founder PTI were read out to the members of the parliamentary party. The members of the parliamentary party declared Khan’s orders correct. The parliamentary party has offered special prayers for the martyrs. We will boycott the upcoming National Assembly session by protesting instead of attending it.

He said that our members were deprived of their seats from the National Assembly under various pretexts, our members were disqualified and we are not even allowed to speak. If we want to celebrate Independence Day, they do not allow us to do so either. We attended the House despite numerous difficulties. We tried to present our demands in the assembly session in a democratic manner, but we are not allowed to speak.

Federal government also has a duty to help flood victims, Asad Qaiser

Asad Qaiser said that the KP government is working for the flood victims, we request the founder PTI to also appeal for funds for the flood victims, we hope that our nation will share equally in the suffering of the people in this difficult time, there is a flood situation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and there will also be diseases in these areas. We will also appeal to the United Nations to provide assistance to the flood victims. It is the duty of the provincial government as well as the federal government to provide assistance to the flood victims.

490 people lost their lives in floodwaters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister KP

Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur said that the rains caused losses in many cities, Banir, Shangla, Swabi and Swat were badly affected, 12 and 14 feet of floodwaters came which destroyed houses, all our institutions mobilized and worked, reached all the people within 24 hours and rescued them, so far all the martyred people have been evacuated, 490 people lost their lives in floodwaters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that we are providing relief to the victims, the heirs of the deceased have been given Rs. 2 million, 2 million each, 50 percent of the injured have received money, we have run out of check boxes to give to the injured, so we have been unable to give money to 100 percent of the injured, Rs. 1 million is being given to the completely destroyed houses, work is also underway on government properties.

He said that in history, no work has been done to rehabilitate flood victims as quickly as we have done. If we had built dams on time, there would not have been so much damage. No one can build a house for 1 million rupees. This is just a support.
