A woman was allegedly abducted by her former husband, who subjected her to physical abuse, including cutting off her hair, following a dispute related to their divorce.

Police have registered a case and launched raids to arrest the suspects. In the FIR lodged with Sadar Police by Farzana, daughter of Mazhar Ali, a resident of 76 GB, she stated that she had married Saleem. Still, due to domestic quarrels and her growing frustration with her husband’s behaviour, she eventually got divorced.

To earn her livelihood, she started working in people’s homes. She said that while returning home from work in Punjab Housing Colony, near Madina Garden, her former husband, Muhammad Saleem, along with his accomplices Shani, Saleemullah, and Pathani wife of Imdad, abducted her and kept her confined at an unknown location.

The police have registered a case against the suspects under Sections 496A and 337V of the Pakistan Penal Code and started conducting raids for their arrest.
