His latest win adds to his remarkable record in the fighting game community

Pakistan’s Tekken player Arslan ‘Ash’ Siddique has once again made history by winning the Tekken 8 championship at the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2025.

According to Red Bull Gaming, which shared footage of the final, Siddique defeated fellow Pakistani player Atif Butt in the grand final held in Las Vegas, United States. The tournament featured over 2,500 competitors and served as a key qualifier for both the Tekken World Tour and the Esports World Cup.

The platform shared a video of Siddique’s final round with the caption: “SIX. TIME. EVO. CHAMPION.”

Arslan Ash, who hails from Lahore, began his gaming journey at the age of eight, frequenting local arcades before rising through Pakistan’s competitive scene. By his teenage years, he had already established himself as a formidable player domestically before going on to dominate internationally.

Siddique’s latest win adds to his remarkable record in the fighting game community, having previously won multiple EVO titles including EVO Las Vegas (2019, 2023, 2024) and EVO Japan (2019, 2023).

In August 2023, he became the first professional gamer to win the Tekken 7 title four times, and also triumphed at Uprising Korea 2023 in Seoul.

In March 2025, a Pakistani team stunned the global community by ending South Korea’s long-standing dominance during a Tekken 8 event in Seoul.

The momentum continued in July 2023, when Siddique helped lead Pakistan to victory in the inaugural Nations Cup in Riyadh, remaining unbeaten throughout the country-based tournament.
