Pakistan’s meat export sector has outperformed regional competitors, with boiled beef exports to China far exceeding those of Mongolia, which recorded only $3 million in exports during the same six-month period. Experts attribute this success to Pakistan’s adherence to China’s stringent food safety, hygiene, and quarantine protocols, especially for heat-treated meat products like boiled beef.
The surge in exports also underscores the positive impact of bilateral trade frameworks and preferential agreements, which have facilitated greater market access for Pakistani goods in China. Moreover, the growing popularity of Pakistani halal beef among Chinese consumers has further fueled demand, positioning Pakistan as a key supplier in the region.
