RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Saturday expressed grave concern over “delusional, provocative and jingoistic statements” coming from the highest levels of the Indian security establishment, saying that Pakistan has “capability and resolve” to take the fight to every nook and corner of the enemy’s territory.

A security official told Pakistan Today that these irresponsible statements indicate a renewed attempt at fabricating arbitrary pretexts for aggression – a prospect which might lead to serious consequences for peace and stability in South Asia.

“Indian regime has ‘strategic arrogance and irrationality’. The official said that India has started Hindutvisation of Indian armed forces and the Indian officials’ jingoistic and irresponsible statements reflect the same,” the official said.

The official added that the Indian regime is a victim of ‘collective amnesia’ and earlier this year, the Indian aggression against Pakistan brought two nuclear powers to the brink of a major war.

“India seems to have forgotten the wreckage of its fighter jets and the wrath of Pakistan’s long range vectors. Suffering from collective amnesia, India now seems to be aching for the next round of confrontation but will find Pakistan ready for thwarting any aggression,” the official said.

The official said that after the recent conflict the world has understood that India has become an ‘irrational player’ in the region while Pakistan has now become a ‘regional net stabiliser’.

“India is fast becoming irrelevant and that is why Indian regime is building war hysteria and even politicising sports,” the official said.

The official said that for decades, India has benefitted from playing the victim card and painting Pakistan in negative light, while stoking violence and perpetrating terrorism in South Asia and beyond.

“However, this narrative has been sufficiently debunked and now the world recognises India as the true face of cross-border terrorism and the epi-centre of regional instability. In the face of highly provocative statements of the Indian Defence Minister and its Army and Air Chiefs, we caution that a future conflict might lead to cataclysmic devastation. In case a fresh round of hostilities is triggered, Pakistan shall not hold back. We shall resolutely respond, without any qualms or restraint,” the official said.

The official maintained that those seeking to establish a new normal must know that Pakistan has established a new normal of response, which will be ‘swift, decisive and destructive’.

“In the face of unwarranted threats and reckless aggression, the people and the Armed Forces of Pakistan have the capability and resolve to take the fight to every nook and corner of the enemy’s territory. This time, we shall shatter the myth of geographic immunity, hitting the farthest reaches of the Indian Territory. As for the talk of erasing Pakistan from the map, India must know that if situation comes, the erasure will be mutual,” the official concluded.

Development of Pasni Port

Asked to comment over US media reports about development of Pasni Port for trade of minerals to the US, the official said that Pakistan is interested in developing more ports to expand its trade with friendly countries. Referring to the US media report, the official said that such reports and business proposal keep coming and Pakistan is open to take a decision after due diligence and consultation between stakeholders.

Asked about provision of security to foreign business delegations, the official said that Pakistan will make all security provisions by itself according to its requirements as Pakistan is sensitive to its security requirements and would never sublet its security to any foreign country.

Gaza Peace Plan

Asked about US President Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, the official said that Pakistan’s stance on Palestine has not changed and it is premature to talk about becoming a part of Muslim forces tasked to maintain peace in Gaza.

“It is premature to talk about becoming a part of Abrahamic Accords or closed-door deals. The purpose of supporting Trump’s peace plan is that Pakistan wants to immediately stop Gaza genocide.”

He said that Trump’s nomination for Nobel Peace Prize is a part of Pakistan’s strategy of statecraft and since we have urged the US administration to use its influence on Israel to stop genocide in Gaza.

Pak-Saudi Defence Pact

The official asked to comment on the recent defence pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the official said that this defence pact is a result of decades-long deliberations between the two countries and linking this pact with recent incidents would be wrong.

“This pact is strategic in nature and has defence and economic prongs. Let me make it clear that this pact is bilateral and aims at bringing peace, stability and progress.
