The Tri-Nation Cricket Series kicks off tomorrow (Friday) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with Pakistan facing Afghanistan in the opening game. Fans are anticipating an intense contest as the three-nation event gets underway.

Pakistan’s 17-member squad will be led by Salman Ali Agha, who has previously captained the side in 18 matches. The team, announced on August 17, includes star players such as Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Khushdil Shah, and Hussain Talat. Since their arrival in the UAE on August 20, the squad has been sharpening skills with training sessions and practice games in Dubai.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) joins Pakistan and Afghanistan in the series, with the final set for Sunday, September 7, between the top two teams. All fixtures will be staged at the historic Sharjah Cricket Stadium, promising an electric atmosphere for both players and fans.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regards the competition as valuable preparation ahead of the ACC Asia Cup, scheduled in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from September 9 to 28.

In T20 internationals, Pakistan has faced Afghanistan seven times, winning four encounters. Their only T20I against UAE came in the 2016 Asia Cup, where Pakistan secured victory.
