A case has been registered against unidentified suspects following the brutal killing of three transgender persons near Nagori Cooperative Housing Society off the M9 Motorway.

According to police, the bodies of the three victims were discovered in the bushes between the main highway and a service road. They had all been shot dead. The case (FIR No. 290/25) was lodged at Memon Goth Police Station under Section 302 on the complaint of Muhammad Zafar, a companion of the deceased.

The complainant stated that on the evening of September 20, three transgender companions left their residence near Ayub Goth, Sachal, saying they were heading towards the Superhighway. When they did not return by 2am, repeated calls to Muhammad Jiel’s phone went unanswered. The following afternoon, information spread through a community WhatsApp group that their bodies had been found.

The victims were later identified as Muhammad Jiel, Alex Riyasat, and 25-year-old Muhammad Younus, son of Muhammad Saleh, a resident of Khairpur. The body of the third victim was handed over to his family after legal formalities.

Investigations

Police officials said the mobile phones of the victims have been recovered, and their call data records (CDRs) have been obtained. Geo-fencing of the crime scene has also been conducted. Forensic examination of 9mm bullet casings recovered from the site is underway. Investigators revealed the victims remained in contact with their companions until around 1:30am, after which their phones became inactive.

Dr Samia Tariq, who conducted the postmortem, confirmed that all three victims were biological males and had been shot multiple times. The cause of death was excessive bleeding. Samples have been collected for further forensic analysis.

Police said investigations are being carried out from multiple angles, and they expect progress soon in identifying and arresting the perpetrators.
