KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday attended a ceremony marking the 95th National Day of Saudi Arabia at a local hotel, hosted by Saudi Consul General Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al-Subaiey. The event was graced by senior civil and military officials, foreign diplomats, and prominent dignitaries, including Karachi Corps Commander Lt Gen Owais Dastgir, Pakistan Navy’s KOMKAR Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, UAE Consul General Bakhit Ateek Al-Rumaithi, Omani Consul General Abdul Samii Al-Khanjari, Bahraini Consul General Abdullah Ahmed, and Qatari Consul General Nayef Shaheen R.M. Al-Sulaiti. On the occasion, Chief Minister Shah presented a bouquet to Consul General Al-Subaiey and conveyed felicitations on behalf of the Government of Sindh and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. In his remarks, Shah described Pakistan-Saudi Arabia ties as unique, recalling the 1951 bilateral agreement that laid the foundation for their enduring friendship, and termed the recently signed defence pact a milestone in safeguarding the Muslim Ummah. He reiterated his congratulations and expressed hope that relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
