A video recorded during the recent rains showed a man harassing a woman in public. The video went viral on social media a few days ago, and resulted in the arrest of the accused.
Police officials confirmed the incident took place in Jamshed Town, District East. Further, following the circulation of the video across social media platforms, police launched a manhunt for the suspect. Based on the footage, police were able to identify and arrest the suspect, who was identified as Hafiz Mohibullah.
An FIR has been registered at Jamshed Quarters police station on behalf of the state, including sections related to sexual assault. The arrested accused will be formally interrogated and produced before the court.
