The Lahore High Court refused to hear the applications of PTI leader Zartaj Gul and ordered her to be produced without surrender.

Zartaj Gul’s appeals against the sentences in three cases of May 9 were heard in the Lahore High Court as an objection.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Alia Neelam, while ordering Zartaj Gul to appear, remarked that Zartaj Gul should be produced first and then the appeal will be heard. A two-member bench headed by the Chief Justice upheld the objection of the Registrar’s Office.

The Registrar’s Office of the Lahore High Court had objected to the appeals against the sentence of PTI leader Zartaj Gul. The Registrar’s Office objected that Zartaj Gul is a convicted person, so she should surrender first because the appeal cannot be heard without surrendering.

Zartaj Gul has filed appeals through senior lawyer Mian Muhammad Hussain Chotia and Barrister Ali Zafar. Three separate appeals have been filed against three decisions in the May 9 incidents of ATC Faisalabad.

The Registrar’s Office has objected to Zartaj Gul’s non-surrender in all three appeals. The ATC Faisalabad has sentenced PTI leader Zartaj Gul to 10 years in prison in three separate cases.
