Japan Extends Condolences to Pakistan Over Flood Tragedy

ISLAMABAD – The Government of Japan has expressed heartfelt condolences to Pakistan over the tragic loss of lives caused by recent flooding in the northern regions of the country.

On August 16, Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Ishiba Shigeru conveyed his sympathies to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, mourning the loss of life and devastation caused by the disaster.

In his message, Prime Minister Ishiba stated:

“I am deeply saddened to learn that many precious lives were lost in the flood that occurred in the northern part of Pakistan.

On behalf of the Government of Japan, I pray for the souls of the victims and extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I would also like to express my sincere wishes for the swift recovery of the injured.”

The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan reaffirmed Japan’s solidarity with the people of Pakistan during this difficult time.
