Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, whose wealth is estimated at $98 billion, is the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries.

Surprisingly, he has been working without salary in the company for the last 5 years.

He took this decision during the Covid-19 pandemic, when companies around the world were facing financial difficulties. Earlier, from 2008 to 2020, Mukesh Ambani was paid an annual salary of INR 15 crore by Reliance. According to the company’s statements, he does not take any allowances or benefits.

On the other hand, his sons Anant Ambani, Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani receive a compensation of INR 2.31 crore every year, while Mukesh Ambani’s wife continued to serve as a director till August 2023 and was paid INR 2 lakh as sitting fees.
