Greater Israel plan is unacceptable, Pakistan rejects it, says Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the Greater Israel plan is unacceptable and a threat to peace, Pakistan rejects this plan, immediate access of humanitarian aid to Gaza should be ensured.

Addressing the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, he said that he would like to thank Turkey, Iran and Palestine for the emergency meeting of the OIC, the blood of innocent Palestinians is being shed in Gaza, the Palestinians are being subjected to collective punishment, innocent Palestinians have been subjected to oppression for two years, the Greater Israel plan is unacceptable and a threat to peace, Pakistan rejects the Greater Israel plan.

Ishaq Dar said that the international community should strive for an immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire, the end of forced evictions and illegal occupation should be ensured, Pakistan supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab countries.

He said that immediate access of humanitarian aid should be ensured in Gaza, Israeli attacks on hospitals, schools and camps are a clear violation of humanitarian law, there is a famine situation in Gaza, urgent measures are inevitable.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar addressed the 21st Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. Upon his arrival in Jeddah, he was received at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC Fawad Sher, Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq and Pakistani Consul General in Jeddah Khalid Majeed.
