Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has revealed that 10 percent of the government funds in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are given to non-state armed groups.

Addressing the Awami National Party APC held in Islamabad, he said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that unfortunately the political and parliamentary system of the country has become a constant question mark, the current government is not representative of the people, it is the establishment’s government, we are disagreeing, we are marching peacefully, these are the things that lead to rebellion.

The JUI chief said that representatives of all parties are present in the All Parties Conference (APC), holding such meetings is welcome, the state’s first priority is the protection of human rights.

He said that be it KP, Balochistan or Sindh, the common man is not safe day and night in all three provinces, tribal areas are in the grip of armed groups, businessmen cannot do business, they have to pay allowances.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that ten percent of government funds are paid to these armed groups, the mineral resources and reserves of our tribal areas belong to the people, there are laws in the country.

The JUI chief said that investments are made in the world, companies come, the local people have their share, the state has its share, all actions in this country are done to establish authority.

He said that the world can be engaged under simple formulas, today resources have come to light the future of the country, but authority is imposed there, the people, the parliament have no authority, we merged FATA, after eight or nine years, the state forms a committee to restore the tribal jirga system.

He said that the question arises here that earlier the jirga was national and the responsibility of peace was on the nations, which was transferred to the government, why is there a need to restore the jirga system today after nine years?

He said that the impression is being given that the merger was done to access the areas of FATA, now the responsibility of law and order is being put on the tribes, let history decide whose opinion is not right.

He said that where are the 100 billion rupees that were supposed to be received? Where are the dreams that were shown? Laws are made regarding the Mines and Minerals Act, this legislation is in conflict with the constitution, the powers given in the Eighteenth Amendment are being withdrawn through legislation.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that instead of discussing controversial things, agreed points should be brought to the fore, unfortunately the political and parliamentary system of the country has become a constant question mark, the current government is not representative of the people, it is the government of the establishment.

The JUI chief said that today we are disagreeing but marching peacefully, these are the things that lead to rebellion, the system should be straightened and fixed, we are still standing on our stand today.
