Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday visited the Multan district where she inspected arrangements at the Qasim Bela relief camp.

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz mingled with flood-affected children and women. She distributed chocolates, biscuits, and school uniforms among the children and personally helped them put on shoes. Women were given clothes and other gifts.

She sat among young children at the flood camp, engaged in friendly conversation, and asked them various questions. She quizzed them about English alphabet and inquired flood-affected families about their problems and needs.

Maryam Nawaz assured women that steps would be taken for the rehabilitation of their homes. She expressed satisfaction over cleanliness and other arrangements in the tents and reviewed health, rescue, and other service counters at the Qasim Bela flood relief camp.

Commissioner Multan Amir Karim and Deputy Commissioner Waseem Sandhu briefed the Chief Minister about the arrangements. Maryam Nawaz directed that food, milk, and other necessities be provided for children. She was also briefed on the flood situation in Head Muhammad Wala area of Muzaffargarh.
