In terms of rapid development day by day China is famous for modernization and outstanding development. China, officially known as the People’s Republic of China, needs no introduction in the 21st century. When we look at China from the perspective of being a major global economic power, it holds a prominent position. It is one of the dominant global economic powers.
When we talk about the global manufacturing hub, China currently holds a dominant position there as well. Apart from this, China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has had a wide-reaching influence in many countries around the world. Whether it is Asia, Africa, or even Europe, China’s influence is visible globally.
Additionally, China is also striving to promote its currency, the RMB. If the RMB gains dominance, it could pose a serious challenge to the US dollar. China’s influence is also visible in organizations like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS countries. This could lead to a potential global shift.
China follows a peaceful foreign policy and compared to other great powers; its attitude is quite different. China always promotes peace and talks about peaceful coexistence. However, due to the nature of its borders, some of which are shared with countries that promote terrorism, like India, certain challenges remain.
In terms of defense, China is the second-largest military power in the world and its defense capabilities are well known. Talking about its technology, China showcased its full technological ability in the recent 2025 Indo-Pak war, proving its superiority.
Regarding modernization of the military, China has introduced its People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to the latest technologies. Its naval forces possess advanced capabilities and its air force is fully equipped with modern technology. China also focuses heavily on cutting-edge technologies like 5G and artificial intelligence and its military forces are fully aware of the utilization and impact of modern technologies.
If we look at China’s major tech brands like Huawei, Alibaba and Tencent they are making a strong global impact. Importantly, China is self-reliant in meeting its domestic technological needs. Unlike many Western countries, it does not depend on their technology. For example, while the rest of the world cannot imagine communication without WhatsApp, China relies on its own dominant platform, WeChat Similarly, YouTube is largely absent in China, where they use their own platforms like vtube.
This independence from Western technology is a significant strength. In terms of diplomacy, China is recognized as a major global power. It plays an important and active role in the United Nations, holds a dominant role in BRICS, and is the most prominent member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Through these platforms, China always speaks of peace and prosperity.
One key thing is that we don’t see aggressive or objectionable behavior from China anywhere in the world. It pursues its policies peacefully and supports oppressed nations. In terms of trade, China has strong commercial ties with many countries. Its infrastructure development is continuously improving day by day.
China is also promoting its language and culture through institutions like the Confucius Institutes, and it has created a unique global identity. The number of people learning and speaking Chinese is increasing significantly, and people around the world are now appreciating Chinese culture and language. This is part of China’s successful soft power and peaceful diplomacy.
In comparison, other powers such as the US, Japan, Germany, Australia, and the UK follow different policies, often more aggressive. But China is progressing peacefully. People across the globe, from East to West and North to South, appreciate China’s policies-and this is a clear sign of China’s success.
