Chairman Saudi Shura Council meets with Speaker National Assembly, discusses important issues

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Saudi Shura Council Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, in which bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation, regional situation and unity of the Muslim Ummah were discussed in detail.

According to the National Assembly Secretariat, during the meeting, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are based on faith, brotherhood and trust, Saudi Arabia has always been a sincere friend of Pakistan, parliamentary cooperation will play a key role in bringing the people of both countries closer, the strategic mutual defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is a manifestation of friendship, trust and regional peace.

He said that the strategic agreement is a great honor and a source of pride for Pakistan, the agreement is the beginning of a new chapter of long-lasting partnership and development between the two countries.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed his best wishes for Saudi King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Speaker Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh and the Saudi people and said that Pakistan-Saudi relations are based on shared religious, moral and social values.

He paid tribute to the Saudi leadership for the role of the “Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques”. He said that Saudi Arabia is playing a prominent role in preserving the great cultural and moral heritage of the Muslim Ummah.

The signing of the Pakistan-Saudi Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement is a historical milestone.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq congratulated Saudi King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh on the agreement and said that the Saudi leadership has always played an effective role for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and world peace. The vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is a symbol of the welfare and progress of the Ummah.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that Saudi Arabia’s leadership and positive role in the ceasefire in Gaza is commendable, Pakistan is fortunate that it has been given the responsibility of protecting the Two Holy Mosques, the government and the opposition are on the same page regarding relations with Saudi Arabia, we are grateful for Saudi Arabia’s solidarity in the Pak-India war, Saudi Arabia’s support for Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir issue is commendable, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have the same position in all international forums.

He said that Chairman Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh will be given Pakistan’s highest civilian award tomorrow in recognition of his efforts to promote Pak-Saudi relations.

Chairman Saudi Shura Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh thanked the Speaker for the warm welcome and hospitality and said that I am deeply happy to visit Pakistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are together in every field, relations with Pakistan are improving with time, the defense agreement has brought the two countries very close.

He said that the defense agreement is not against any country, there is a need to expand relations between the Parliament of Pakistan and the Saudi Shura, Pakistan is an important country in the Islamic world, Saudi Arabia values ​​its relations with Pakistan, Pakistan has a key importance in Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy, unity and solidarity among Muslim countries are inevitable to solve the problems facing the Ummah.

The two leaders emphasized the promotion of unity, regional cooperation and economic partnership of the Muslim Ummah and said that the promotion of contacts between the parliaments of the two brotherly countries will further strengthen bilateral relations.

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki also attended the meeting. Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, members of the National Assembly Syed Hafizuddin, Zeb Jafar, Malik Aamir Dogar, Sahar Kamran, Mujahid Ali and Noor Alam Khan also attended the meeting.
