A young man was killed and two others injured in three separate shooting incidents in the city on Sunday.

According to Shah Latif Town, the incident occurred during a wedding ceremony in Jam Kanda Goth, near the Malir River. Police said an intoxicated man opened aerial fire during the celebrations, and a bullet struck 22-year-old Sajjad, killing him on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

Investigators are probing whether the death was the result of aerial firing or an accidental discharge.

Separately, 23-year-old Nabeel Masih was injured by a stray bullet near Sea View. He was rushed to Civil Hospital. According to the SHO Sahil police station, initial findings suggest the bullet was fired from an unknown direction. Meanwhile, in Malir’s Memon Goth, 37-year-old Ahmed Ali was wounded by a stray bullet while sitting outside his home. He was shifted to JPMC. A Malir police spokesperson said evidence was being collected to determine the source of the gunfire.
