The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has adjusted the Asia Cup 2025 schedule, moving nearly all fixtures to a 7:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) slot.
The only exception is the Group A clash between the UAE and Oman on September 15, which will start at 5:00 PM PST.
The tournament kicks off on September 9 in Abu Dhabi with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong China. Hosts UAE face India in Dubai the next day, while the highly anticipated India-Pakistan showdown is set for September 14 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. If both sides advance, they may meet again in the Super 4s and potentially the final.
Eight teams will compete in this edition:
-
Group A: India, Pakistan, UAE, Oman
-
Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong China
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4s, leading up to the final on September 28 in Dubai at 7:30 PM PST.
Of the 19 matches, 11 will be hosted in Dubai—including the title clash—while Abu Dhabi will stage the remaining eight. The tournament will be played in the T20 format as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup next year.
