Pakistan advanced to the T20I tri-nation final after defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 32 runs in Sharjah on Thursday.
Fakhar Zaman starred with an unbeaten 77 off 44 balls, rescuing Pakistan from 80/5 alongside Mohammad Nawaz (37) in a 97-run stand that lifted the total to 171/5.
In the chase, UAE’s Alishan Sharafu struck 68 but found little support as spinner Abrar Ahmed dismantled the middle order with a brilliant 4 for 9. UAE were restricted to 140/7.
Pakistan finished on top of the table with six points, while Afghanistan, second with two points, will face them in Sunday’s final. UAE exited without a win.
