Islamabad: Social media influencer Samiya Hijab Jafari has come forward with disturbing allegations of harassment and assault, claiming she was attacked by a man who has been pressuring her into marriage.
In an Instagram post, Samiya shared CCTV footage of the incident, stating that the suspect forcibly entered her home, attempted to abduct her, assaulted her inside a car, and snatched her phone. She confirmed that she has lodged a complaint with Islamabad police and warned that the man should be held responsible if any harm comes to her.
The influencer revealed she was at home with her ailing mother when the assault occurred. As she cried for help, her mother collapsed while trying to reach the gate, sustaining injuries. Samiya further alleged that the suspect boasted about having ties to the Inspector General of Islamabad Police.
Expressing concern over the pattern of violence faced by women, she recalled the tragic case of fellow influencer Sana Yousaf, who lost her life after facing similar harassment.
The video sparked widespread outrage on social media, with users demanding the immediate arrest of the suspect and urging authorities to take swift action to ensure Samiya’s safety.
