President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the devastation caused by floods and rains in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, while expressing heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased.
In his statement, the President expressed complete solidarity with the flood victims and said that he stands with the families who have suffered loss of life and property in the floods and rail accidents, and expresses deep sympathy for the massive loss of crops and livestock of farmers.
The President paid tribute to the bravery and services of the armed forces and rescue agencies and said that in this hour of trial, the Pakistani forces have set a wonderful example of serving the people.
He said that he is confident that the Pakistani nation will face the difficulties with courage and determination, and like the floods of 2010 and 2022, the nation will emerge victorious this time too.
The President has also directed the Sindh government to take preventive measures in advance in view of the possible flood threat
