At least two soldiers were martyred and 21 others injured when terrorists carried out a coordinated and deadly ambush on a Frontier Corps (FC) post in the Tora Warai area of Hangu district late Sunday night.

According to security sources, the attackers targeted the FC post and the area’s Station House Officer (SHO), Imranuddin.

One soldier in critical condition is under treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Thall. Other injured personnel have been shifted to the same.

Earlier this month, in another ambushed attack, heavily armed terrorists martyred three FC personnel and their civilian driver in remote Banda Daud Shah tehsil of the Karak district, K-P. According to local police, FC patrol was assigned to protect the strategic Gurguri oil field.
