A man and his brother tortured and poisoned his wife to death in Chak 236 GB, Jaranwala. Police shifted the body to a hospital and registered a murder case against three suspects.

According to the FIR filed by father, Muhammad Akram, a resident of Joharabad, with Sadar Jaranwala police, his daughter Misbah Akram was married to accused Irfan. He stated that the couple frequently quarreled, and his daughter had informed him about the disputes several times.

On August 21, Akram, accompanied by Muhammad Arif and Iftikhar, visited his daughter’s home where they found Irfan, along with his brothers Rizwan and Tahir alias Tari, allegedly assaulting her, holding her by the hair and neck. He claimed that during the assault, the suspects forced a poisonous substance into her mouth, causing her to lose consciousness.

Misbah was shifted to Allied Hospital for treatment but succumbed to poisoning and injuries.

Police have registered a case under sections 302, 109 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched a search to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, a case has been filed against three accused who humiliated youth after kidnapping and recorded an indecent video of him.

Ali Nawaz, a resident of Shamspura, told the police that his brother had gone to Tandlianwala for work. The accused Shahzeb and others caught and took him to a hut in front of the house and made a video of him naked. The accused shared the video on social media and humiliated him.
