The Sindh High Court, hearing a petition against encroachment in Khajji Ground, has summoned the mayor, commissioner, and the director general of KDA at the next hearing.

During proceedings, TMC counsel Advocate Usman Farooq submitted that garbage had been cleared from Khajji Ground. The TMC Nazimabad also filed a compliance report, stating that a project worth Rs360 million, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, is underway for the restoration of the ground.

The report further mentioned that removal of the police station from the premises does not fall under the administrative jurisdiction of the town. The KMC requested additional time to submit its response.

Issuing notices to the city mayor, the court remarked that it must be clarified which authority is responsible for the maintenance of the ground. The court adjourned the hearing for one week. Our correspondent
