A charity T20 cricket match featuring national cricketers has been planned in Peshawar to raise funds for flood victims. Former stars Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, along with other former and current players, are expected to participate in the event.

The proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships will be handed over to the provincial government for flood relief efforts. The match will be played at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium (formerly Arbab Niaz Stadium), Peshawar.

In this regard, a high-level meeting was held to finalize arrangements, set the date, review security measures, and plan ticket sales. The meeting was chaired by Provincial Minister for Sports Syed Fakhar Jehan and attended by Director General Sports Dr Tashfeen Haider, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Sarmad Saleem Akram, General Manager Tourism Sardar Bahadur, SSP Coordination Khanzeb Mohmand, District Sports Officer Jamshed Baloch, and other officials.

The participants discussed ways to ensure maximum public participation and generate significant funds. It was also decided to invite artists, singers, and celebrities to add entertainment value and further attract audiences.

A follow-up meeting will be held in three days to give final shape to the arrangements, with all departments directed to come fully prepared.
