Pakistan, China’s FMs pledge to strengthen cooperation, mutual support on global forums

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China’s foreign ministers have pledged to strengthen cooperation and mutual support on global forums.

During a joint press conference following the 6th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, Ishaq Dar and Wang Yi expressed their commitment to work together for regional peace, stability, and prosperity. Both countries vowed to further enhance cooperation at all levels and continue strong support for each other in international forums.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan-China relations are founded on brotherhood, and both nations are determined to deepen collaboration at every level.

He welcomed the Chinese Foreign Minister to Pakistan, describing the sixth strategic dialogue as a productive and meaningful exchange. He also highlighted discussions on the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to China, CPEC Phase Two, people-to-people contacts, and boosting bilateral cooperation.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that the dialogue included in-depth discussions on various aspects of bilateral cooperation, including CPEC Phase Two, trade and economic ties, multilateral engagement, and people-to-people relations.

He emphasised that the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China is growing stronger and expressed eagerness for the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit to Beijing.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement that both sides reviewed all facets of Pakistan-China relations and exchanged views on key regional and global issues.

During the Dialogue, the two sides reviewed the entire gamut of Pakistan-China relations and discussed important regional and global issues.

They also exchanged in-depth views on multiple facets of bilateral cooperation including CPEC 2.0, trade and economic relations, multilateral cooperation and people-to-people ties.
