Television host and actor Sahir Lodhi has responded to the wave of parody clips inspired by his viral “Jee Bhai” videos.
The skits, in which Lodhi dramatizes everyday situations, quickly became a social media trend, prompting lighthearted imitations from actors Ijaz Aslam, Faisal Qureshi, Yasir Nawaz, and comedian Tabish Hashmi. While many joined in the fun, actress Mehwish Hayat came to Lodhi’s defense, saying it was unfair to ridicule someone who has earned his place in the industry.
Addressing the matter, Lodhi said he respects everyone’s right to express their opinion.
“Whether people love me or hate me, it is their right. Allah has given every human being freedom of opinion, so I cannot stop anyone from expressing it,” he noted. He admitted some remarks were hurtful but stressed that he would never retaliate in the same manner, adding he believes his colleagues acted in good spirit.
Lodhi also thanked Mehwish Hayat for her support, calling her “kind and dignified” as ever.
His viral clips often feature him staging casual life moments, each beginning with the cameraman’s arrival and his signature line: “You’re back again.”
