The Government of Sindh has officially increased the minimum monthly wage for unskilled workers to Rs40,000, effective July 1, 2025, across all industrial and commercial sectors of the province. This wage policy also introduces a guaranteed minimum of Rs192 per hour for hourly wage workers.

Sindh Labour Minister Shahid Abdul Salam Thaheem announced the revised pay structure, which includes:

  • Semi-skilled workers: Rs41,380/month
  • Skilled workers: Rs49,628/month
  • Highly skilled workers: Rs51,745/month

These rates apply to both registered and unregistered establishments and ensure equal pay for male and female workers.

The minister emphasized that this wage revision is part of Sindh’s broader pro-labour policy to protect workers from the rising cost of living. He assured that the Labour Department is actively engaging with industrial stakeholders to enforce labour laws and ensure fair compensation across the board.
