KARACHI, July 30, 2025 — In a significant breakthrough in the Clifton double murder case, police have arrested four suspects, including the brother of the deceased woman, following the discovery of the bodies of Sana Muhammad Asif and Sajid Masih near China Port.

According to DIG South Asad Raza, a Karachi police team traveled to Gujranwala, where they apprehended the suspects, including Waqas, Sana’s brother. The arrests follow an investigation into what police believe may be an honour-related killing.

Sajid Masih’s family, including his father Arif Masih, has now arrived in Karachi and recorded a formal statement with police, shedding light on events that took place in Gujranwala. Based on his testimony, more individuals are expected to be nominated in the murder FIR.

Speaking outside the Boat Basin police station, Sajid’s grieving mother and other female relatives told reporters they were unaware of Sajid and Sana’s marriage. “My son has been murdered, and now our lives are also in danger,” she said, adding that the family learned about the tragic incident via social media.

The family has urged the government to ensure justice and protection, citing grave concerns for their safety and calling for swift legal action against those responsible.
