Rawalakot has been severely affected by continuous torrential rains, leading to significant road damage and landslides. As a result, key routes, especially in Tine Dhalkot and Toli Pir, have been closed, causing major disruptions to daily life. Local authorities have announced the closure of schools until August 23 for safety reasons.

The heavy rainfall has made commuting difficult, with several roads blocked and landslides halting access to key towns and villages. Transport services have also been suspended in multiple areas due to unsafe conditions.

To ensure the safety of residents, particularly students and staff, the Education Department has declared a holiday for all schools in Rawalakot until August 23. The decision comes as road connectivity is not expected to be restored in the short term.

Residents are facing challenges in accessing essential services and moving between areas, with the situation continuing to affect daily routines.
