KARACHI – The Consulate General of Germany in Karachi has suspended all consular services for non-European Union (EU) nationals, including confirmed visa appointments, effective immediately and until further notice.
In an official announcement, the consulate confirmed that all existing appointments for non-EU applicants have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled at this time. Affected applicants are advised to re-register online once services resume.
The consulate has not yet disclosed the reason behind the temporary suspension but assured the public that updates will be shared as the situation evolves.
The mission expressed its appreciation for public patience and understanding during this disruption.

This move follows recent consular updates across the region. Earlier in July, Sweden resumed visa services in Islamabad, and the US consulates in Karachi and Lahore introduced new social media transparency requirements for F, M, and J visa applicants.
