Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm and principled support for the Palestinian people’s right to a viable, independent, and contiguous state, according to a report by APP.
Speaking at a United Nations conference, Dar emphasized that for over 75 years, Palestinians have suffered under occupation, displacement, and the denial of their fundamental rights, including the right to self-determination.
He described the prolonged suffering as not only a political failure but a moral stain on the global conscience and a threat to international peace and security. Referring to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Dar stated, Gaza is a graveyard of international law and humanitarian principles. The collective punishment of Palestinians must stop now, and we must act with urgency and purpose.
