Hezbollah Deputy Leader Naim Qassem has warned the Lebanese government that if the security forces confront us at the behest of the US, Lebanon will be on the brink of destruction.

According to Arab media, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem expressed these views in a televised speech after meeting with Iran’s top security official Ali Larijani.

In his speech, he stressed that as long as the Israeli aggression continues and the occupation persists, Hezbollah will not lay down its arms. We will confront this US-Israeli alliance.

Expressing his determination to defend his weapons, the Hezbollah leader said that the Lebanese government is paving the way for the country to be handed over to Israel through disarmament.

Naim Qassem said that for now, Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have postponed their protests against the US-backed disarmament plan because the doors of negotiations have not yet been closed.

However, he warned that if the plan is not canceled, protests could reach the US embassy directly in the future.

It should be noted that the Lebanese cabinet ordered the country’s army to disarm Hezbollah within a year, which Hezbollah and other parties rejected, calling it a decision taken under American pressure.
