Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Khan Tessori paid homage at the mausoleum of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on the occasion of Independence Day. They attended the main Independence Day ceremony at the mausoleum as the chief guest, alongside members of the provincial cabinet. Together, the Governor and Chief Minister hoisted the national flag, marking the start of the formal celebrations.

During their visit, CM Murad and Governor Tessori interacted with schoolchildren and members of the public present at the mausoleum, who welcomed them with enthusiastic chants. The children enthusiastically took selfies and interacted with him as part of the Independence Day festivities.

In his message on the occasion, CM said that on this day in 1947, the nation’s forefathers turned the dream of a free and sovereign homeland into reality through a long struggle, tireless efforts and unparalleled sacrifices.

He said Independence Day was not merely a celebration but an occasion to renew the pledge of loyalty, service and progress. While governor said that the nation was celebrating the day with renewed zeal and enthusiasm, especially under the banner of Marka-e-Haq.
